Rey At the top of the year, Billboard looked ahead to who would be hot and named Nicki Minaj one of 2010′s artists to watch. The prediction turned out not only to be true, but, if anything, to have underestimated just how huge a star she would become. Now clearly the contemporary first lady of hip-hop, Minaj was on the cover of Billboard a few weeks ago. With her debut album, “Pink Friday,” out today (Nov. 22), Nicki came to Billboard HQ to talk music and fashion and give insight into her rise.
